Mini March for CF

Holden’s preschool is participating in a program where the kids are learning to give and help others…so he is raising funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through Uplifting Athletes in honor of a student with CF. It’s his first fundraiser so we decided to challenge him to earn his donations by collecting pledges for his MINI MARCH training miles! Our goal is for him to walk one mile per day between now and the event. We will provide updates in the comments section below. We’re estimating he will walk 20 miles total!

Cystic fibrosis is a rare genetic disease which affects about 30,000 children and adults in the US. A defective gene causes the body to produce an abnormally thick, sticky mucus. This mucus leads to chronic and life-threatening lung infections and impairs digestion. Currently, there is no cure.

On April 27th, the proceeds will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to fund landmark research. CF scientific advances happen because of your support. Every sponsor who gives is an important step in saving the life of a child who suffers from CF. The dollars raised will keep critical CF research moving forward.
